COVID-19 is a respiratory disease associated with endothelitis and microthrombosis, that’s why the Von Willebrand factor vWF emerges as a candidate for biomarker of COVID-19 prognosis.

The scientific literature continues to grow in the correlation of biomarkers with the prognosis of patients with

COVID-19, to give them personalized attention. The following study shows that of the endothelial biomarkers analyzed, vWF is the only one that correlates in magnitude with the severity of disease progression, being very useful in hospitals as a tool for predicting mortality.
