The CAPILLARYS 3 TERA MC configuration allows the combination of one to three CAPILLARYS 3 TERA instruments to a Sebia loader, with a loading capacity of 528 samples in one row.
This high volume workcell provides 3 hours autonomy on HbA1c, and Hemoglobin testing, and more than 2 hours on Proteins, processing up to 528 samples in one go.
The system can be fed continuously with additional racks, and the reagent management system allows ad-hoc reagent addition at any time, without interruption.
The system allows on-the-fly rerouting of each loading lane. The user can also directly insert racks on one specific instrument (STAT).
Load and unload the sample racks at the same point.
Sample types: whole blood, urine, serum
With up to 36 capillaries, the high volume workcell CAPILLARYS 3 TERA MC can respond to the highest volume with a low hands-on-time. The loader can receive 66 racks in one go (528 samples).

Interview between Sebia and M. Jean Deenmamode, CDT IFCC Working Group Chair
HbA1c is routinely used in the clinical laboratory to diagnose and monitor diabetes mellitus. Many methods have been standardized to provide precise and accurate results for normal patients. For the other common Hb variants, most of the methods are now relatively free of analytical interference.

The EurA1c trial, organized yearly, investigates the performance of HbA1c assays across countries and manufacturers.
This article assesses the performances of the different manufacturers and technologies (HPLC and CE) for Hb A2 measurement using both International Reference Reagent for HbA2 (WHO IRR 89/666) and analysis of three whole blood specimens over a range of HbA2, distributed to 56 laboratories located in 14 different countries.
